Vital

Vital is formed from the the Latin root vit- meaning "life" and the suffix -al meaning "pertaining to" or “full of”. Thus, vital means (1)pertaining to (0r necessary for) life; (2) full of life.
Oxygen is vital for all animals.
He is a happy, vital person.
Vital statistics relates to births, deaths, marriages, etc.
